Concerto for Trombone and Wind Ensemble by Salvador Brotons/arr. Virginia Allen. Premiered by Mark Lawrence (Principal Trombone, San Francisco Symphony) and The U.S. Army Band at the Eastern Trombone Workshop on March 22, 2003. The original version of the concerto with orchestra was written in 1995 for Ricardo Casero, Principal Trombonist of the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra. The concerto is also available with piano reduction. For information on the concerto version with orchestra or piano, please visit the Brotons & Mercadal Edicions Musicals web site. Virginia Allen for brass quintet with brass ensemble.  “Dancing to Restore an Eclipsed Moon” commissioned by Blair Bollinger and premiered at the Bar Harbor Brass Festival by the Extension Ensemble Brass Quintet and the festival brass ensemble on August 16, 2002 in Bar Harbor, Maine. Star Spangled Banner/arr. Otto-Werner Mueller and adapted for brass and percussion by Virginia Allen. In 2020 Virginia was commissioned by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra to adapt Otto-Werner Mueller's arrangement of The Star Spangled Banner for their brass and percussion sections to perform and record on a patriotic concert to celebrate July 4th.
